Tale of online romance.. and a widow in the sidelines

This was an interesting enough read, with lots of comments:

It's about a female gamer whose original relationship deteriorated and found new love in her WoW guild.

OK something just does not add up with this article, if WOW is so wonderful & you can fall in love and live happily every after, then why does it cause so must hardship, heartache & broken relationships. Evidently unlike real life the characters in this article are able to find a perfect balance between real life and WOW & never cross the line. BS!!!! Gamers are crossing the line 24/7 because there are no consequences in virtual world and they forget there are consequences in the real world - they all seem to be so shocked with the real world collides with their virtual world. Their biggest excuse is "It's just a game". Ya a game that encroches and completely takes over their real life and then they are skipping work, loose their job, can't pay the bills, loose their home. This is exactly what happens with other addictions like alcoholism, drug addictions, porn, gambling - IT DESTROYS YOU REAL LIFE!!! WOW & Second Life and other gaming obsessions are no different. If it's in excess, there is a BIG problem!! :nono

Ever wonder why people take solace in video games in the first place?
